The old redwood deck in this backyard was showing it's age and needing replacement. The owners were busy professionals and were looking for an outdoor space that they could enjoy with very little needed maintence. We considered many different design styles before we came upon a design that fit their tastes and needs. The existing deck was removed and recycled. The existing lawn and irrigation system were removed and the new patio was installed along with drought tolerent low maintenance plantings and a new sprinkler system that used weather sensors to adjust the amount of water needed. A steel arbor was designed and constructed with the Boulder flatirons as it's theme. A natural boulder was hollowed out and a gas fire ring installed and recycled glass in the black and gold CU colors were used in the ring. All the materials for this job were brought into the backyard through a three foot wide gate and dow 30' of concrete walk. these matterials included 40 tons of roadbase and over 50 tons of sandstone.
